Labor Precarity in Austerity-Era Europe

To express interest in this panel, please use the comments feature on this page and/or contact Sam Weeks: sweeks[at]ucla.edu

I would be interested in organizing a panel on "labor precarity in austerity-era Europe" for the 2014 SCA meeting. The panel would seek to explore the connection between growing labor precaritization in contemporary Europe and factors such as industrial overproduction, EU federalization, neoliberalization, reduction in trade-union influence, decreases in welfare-state provisions, immigration, corruption, low rates of growth, etc. Please let me know if you need further information.

Many thanks,
