Elana Resnick

Elana Resnick is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she leads the Infrastructural Inequalities Research Group. Her research explores waste, racialization, surveillance, labor, nuclear energy, and friendship through multi-modal methods. Her book, Refusing Sustainability: Race and Environmentalism in a Changing Europe (July 2025), examines the intersections of racialization and environmentalism in an expanding Europe.
