Jerrold Cuperus is an early career researcher and a research assistant at The University of Queensland in Magan-djin/Brisbane (Australia). He holds a PhD in religious studies from the University of Queensland, where his ethnographic research focused on multimedia and production technologies (think: lighting, A/V, stage design, apps) in Australian “contemporary-style” or Pentecostal churches. After a brief stint as a high school teacher, Jerrold transitioned into teaching undergraduate anthropology courses. He is interested in religion, technology, and cultural heritage.
