Federico Dupont Bernal is a PhD student in cultural anthropology at Duke University. His research examines how sports gambling in Colombia entangles desire, technology, and finance, focusing on gamblers as heterogeneous subjects navigating speculation, uncertainty, and risk. He holds an MA (2023) and BA (2021) in anthropology, as well as a BA in political science (2021) from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia.
